La 3^ème École Primaire de Préveza constitue la succession des écoles historiques pour filles de la ville. Elle a d’abord succédé une Institution de Jeunes filles qui existait bien avant l’intégration de Préveza à l’état grec en 1912 et puis l’École Primaire pour filles les années 1912-1929.

En 1929, la 3^ème École Primaire prend la place de l’École Primaire pour fille après une réforme éducative selon laquelle les deux sexes devaient désormais suivre une éducation dans des écoles primaires mixtes.

À présent la 3^ème École Primaire de Préveza accueille les élèves du matin jusqu’à l’après-midi (8.00- 16.00). Elle comprend même spécifique pour les enfants qui rencontrent des difficultés scolaires et une autre classe qui accueille les élèves étrangers qui veulent maitriser la langue grecque. Cette classe n’est pas en ce moment opérationnelle.

À notre école 161 élèves suivent les cours et 27 professeurs enseignent le matin et 3 l’après midi.

The third Primary School of Preveza is the continuation of the city’s two historical schools for girls: the “Parthenagogeio”, the Virgin girls School, before the incorporation of the city with the Greek state in 1912 and the Primary School for girls during the period 1912-1929.

In 1929 the 3rd Primary School of Preveza succeeds the Preveza Primary School for girls, which was abolished in 1929 after an educational reform that included teaching both boys and girls together in mixed primary schools.

From 1929 to 1952 our school operated in an old building in the center of the city and since 1952 it has been at its current location in a building that underwent repeated extensions and the final addition of a second floor.

Nowadays the third Primary School of Preveza is operating as an All Day Primary School, with extended working hours (8:00 – 16:00), and two extra classes: one for students with special learning needs and another for foreign pupils who do not speak the Greek language fluently (not available this year).

This year there are 161 pupils enrolled in our school, 27 teachers working in the morning programme and 3 more in the afternoon programme.
